Property taxes
We saw what happened in Jackson County. We will make sure that can never happen again, anywhere in Missouri.

Never require payment of an inflated bill before your case has been heard by the Board of Equalization.

We gave seniors a break on increases. We must extend those protections to veterans.

Commercial property owners need protections: cap increases without an inspection, and commercial appraisals based on multiple valuation methods.
Waste
Finding $28,000 Hawaiian vacations, paid for by your tax dollars, must have consequences for elected officials. State law must hold them accountable.
Tax giveaways
Every jurisdiction that is losing money to a tax incentive must approve those incentives. Make sure paybacks are real and help benefit the everyday taxpayer. Your city shouldn’t get a huge windfall and claim your taxes can’t be lowered.
Data centers
Not a ban. They pay for their own power, water, and fire risk, and neighbors get real notice. If they want the land, they buy the upgrades.
